I came across some old receipts from when we first arrived.�We knew absolutely that we were coming with overweight baggage.�It was $360 of overweight�I had forgotten that�I also found the bill for our stay at the Singerstrasse 21/25 ndash; the long stay hotel in which we first stayed until we could find and move into the apartment.�We were there for 22 nights. The total bill there was 2,175.52Euros.�Thank goodness work was paying for all of this�I must recommend the Singerstrasse though.�It is a fine hotel, very reasonably priced, is in the first district, has very kind staff and put up with Brandy.

I was talking to friends who brought their two dogs with them.� I remember that it was about $200-225 or so to bring Brandy in cargo.� Our friends had thought�initially about coming over themselves at first and getting settled and then flying the dogs over.� To do that if you arenapos;t on the same flight is about 4 times the regular price� And checking into a company to take care of all of that for you was going to be about $5,000� Needless to say, the dogs came with the family.

Sassy has a reservation on the airplane with us, coming back after Christmas.� She will be in cargo even though she is an ok weight for being in the cabin under the seat.� The problem is that she hates the carrier and would complain the whole time.� Betsy asked the vet and she said that even sedated, she would still keep complaining, if that is her nature.�

Our "Dancing with the Stars" at home is "Strictly Come Dancing" here.� They start out with 12 couples here��I didnapos;t watch it that much at home, but didnapos;t think it was 12 at the beginning.� They started a new sequence tonight and�I actually recognize 3 of the tv stars from BBC Prime.� One of the shows I do like a lot - a comedy - and the other two I have seen once or twice.�They also have a famous cricket player and a famous hurdler.� After this first night, they did eliminate 2 couples.
